Discography · First international release
Luz de otra manera
Ten compositions in which flamenco guitar opens its language to melody, Mediterranean percussion and a contemporary vision without losing the pulse of traditional palos.
01 · The work
Ten ways of illuminating flamenco.
The original booklet explains the musical and emotional source of every composition. The following notes preserve the artist’s intention and the credits of the international edition.
01AlgarabíasBulerías
An evocation of homesickness inspired by sunlight and the atmosphere of Spanish culture. The force of the flamenco touch is softened just enough to bring it closer to the listener without losing its character.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- Vanesa Lledó · vocals and palmas
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón and palmas
02Luz de otra maneraFlamenco tangos · instrumental
The title piece brings the guitar to the foreground through luminous melodies, fresh rhythms and a desire to communicate with audiences beyond the traditional boundaries of flamenco.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- Mariano Martos · bass guitar
- João Balão · bendir, tinaja and darbuka
03Cal y ArenaBulerías
Lime and sand represent the two faces of the same experience: the end of a broken dream and the beginning of a new chapter. The music contrasts a restrained opening with a more piercing second part.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- Vanesa Lledó · vocals and palmas
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Mariano Martos · bass
- Violeta Barrio · zapateado and palmas
- João Balão · tabla
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón
04SilencioAlegrías
The joy traditionally embedded in the palo is transformed into a more sensitive and intimate reading. Its rhythm keeps the root alive while the lyrics speak metaphorically of pain and tears.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- Vanesa Lledó · vocals and palmas
- Violeta Barrio · palmas
- Mariano Martos · bass guitar
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón
05Playa de las piedrasSoleá por bulería
The album’s deepest flamenco lament. Tension, tinaja, bendir and finger cymbals open an almost psychedelic landscape that recalls the Arab and African traces within flamenco.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- Vanesa Lledó · vocals and palmas
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Violeta Barrio · zapateado and palmas
- João Balão · tabla, bendir, tinaja and finger cymbals
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón
06Casa de PapelFlamenco tangos
A fresh, joyful composition dedicated to the artist’s sister. Its slow, danceable groove supports lyrics built around distance, memory and the recollection of Madrid.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Vanesa Lledó · palmas
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón, tinaja and palmas
07Agua y LunaBulerías
The album’s rhythmic and virtuosic side lives alongside the composer’s melodic signature. Bass guitar provides a contemporary setting while the lyrics express longing for someone distant and unreachable.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- Vanesa Lledó · vocals and palmas
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Violeta Barrio · palmas
- Mariano Martos · bass guitar
- João Balão · tinaja and caxixí
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón
08Noche y SoleáSoleá
The compás and cante remain close to tradition, while the guitar adopts a more open, melodic voice that expands the structure. Night and solitude stand at the centre of the lyrics.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón
- Vanesa Lledó and Violeta Barrio · palmas
09Al rasoZambra · instrumental
Born from intuition, its melody begins with an Arabic air, moves towards flamenco and returns to the opening idea. The simplicity of its presentation keeps the principal melody present in the memory.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- DieGo “El Gavi” · credited vocals
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón and tinaja
10Cuerdas de AireSong
A farewell shaped by the gentlest tones of the guitar. The vibration of the strings and the pulse of the cajón turn the piece into a hymn to life.
- Vasco Hernández · flamenco guitar
- DieGo “El Gavi” · vocals
- Carlos Milhomens · cajón and tinaja
